Riyadi’s team traveled on Tuesday morning to Iran to face Iran’s Gorgan club tonight in the second final match of the WASL tournament.

The Stakes of the Series

Riyadi’s team is seeking to win the title in the Iranian capital today to avoid a decisive match in Lebanon that could pose a problem, as they are fighting on several fronts, notably in the Lebanese championship. The team’s coach, Ahmad Farran, emphasized that the team aims for victory to focus solely on the Lebanese championship before the start of the WASL Super League finals in early June.

As for Gorgan, the Iranian team is aiming to win at home and level the series after a poor performance in the first match, bolstering their ranks with American center Diamond Stone after playing the first match with only one foreign player, Will Cherry.

Riyadi will play their match with the foreign trio Jonathan Simmons, Elmedin Kikanovic and Sani Sakakini replacing Thon Maker, who is suffering from a minor injury, as the coaching staff prefers to rest him and avoid risking aggravation.

2-0 or 1-1? The answer tonight at 8:45 PM, Beirut time.
