At least 66 people were killed on Thursday in 115 raids carried out by the Israeli Air Force on Hezbollah targets, according to an unofficial latest count.

Since the afternoon, raids have intensified in the Bekaa and southern Lebanon, also targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut for the fourth time in six days, where the head of Hezbollah’s air unit, Mohammed Hussein Srour, was killed. Until the evening, Hezbollah had not confirmed or denied his death.

Six people were killed in Israeli strikes in Chaqra in the Bint Jbeil district and Tayr Felsay in the Tyre district, according to the Islamic civil defense affiliated with Hezbollah.

Civil Defense stated that it had recovered the bodies of six killed in a strike on al-Karak in Zahleh in the Bekaa district. “This brings the death toll to thirteen dead and six injured,” as it specified in a statement.

In Nabatiyeh, it was able to recover “five bodies and save one injured” from the rubble following a raid. In the Baalbek-Hermel district, it reported “twenty-one killed and fourteen injured.”

Additionally, a motorcycle was targeted in the town of Qasr in the Baalbek-Hermel district, resulting in one death and one injury. Other targeted locations in the same region include Nabi Othman, Nabi Chit, Sarine, Qasr, and Hosh al-Sayyed Ali. Machghara, Jurd Kfar Zabad, and Qousaya in Bekaa were also struck.

In Kahaleh in the Aley district, a man was “seriously injured” inside his car after being targeted by a Ninja-type rocket. He is Ali Hammoud, a member of Hezbollah, who was heading to Beirut from Baalbeck with his wife and child, likely to settle them there.

Airstrikes also targeted the southern Lebanese towns of Aita al-Jabal, Toul, Chehour, Houmine el Faouqa, Mahrouna, Qana, Ainata, al-Tairi, Ansariye, Adloun, Taybeh, Aramta, Majdal Selm, and Jmeijmeh, as well as the Jabal al-Rayhan Heights.

The Israeli army claimed an attack on Hezbollah weapons depots in Zebqine, Tibnin, Kfarchouba, Deir Antar, and Siddiqin.

Hezbollah’s Counterattacks

Hezbollah announced that it had fired “50 rockets at the Israeli town of Kiryat Ata, located a few kilometers east of Haifa.”

Earlier, it reported 80 rockets fired against the city of Safed in northern Israel. This is the first time it has claimed a strike on Safed, which does not house a military base, stating in a communiqué that it targeted it in “retaliation for Israel’s barbaric strikes against Lebanon and its people.”

It also published a video of its military operations in Kiryat Shmona and Rosh Pina on X.

Hezbollah further announced that it had bombarded the colonies of Kiryat Motzkin and Kiryat Shmona and the Rafael military-industrial complexes in the Zovulun region, north of Haifa, with rocket salvos.

The Samson base and the Northern Command headquarters on the Israeli base of Dadu were also targeted.

Additionally, the pro-Iranian group stated that it had intercepted two Israeli warplanes heading towards Adloun, “forcing them to leave Lebanese airspace.”

Israeli media reported “80 missiles launched from Lebanon towards Safed and the towns of Upper Galilee,” including “a direct hit on a building in Berea.”
