On Sunday, researcher and political activist Makram Rabah revealed in a post on his X account that he was notified yesterday that he needs to present himself at the General Security Security Investigation Department.

He added sarcastically, “They probably want me to tell them about the meeting of the axis of ‘distraction’ and ‘resistance’ that took place in Beirut last week.”

According to information obtained by This Is Beirut, Rabah has been summoned to provide evidence, not for the purpose of an investigation.

As a reminder, leaders of various Palestinian factions including Hamas and Yemeni Houthi rebels met last week to discuss the “coordination” of their actions against Israel. According to a Houthi official contacted by AFP, the meeting took place in Beirut.
