Caretaker Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced on Thursday the establishment of a data collection mechanism within the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities which involves collaborative efforts across the Ministry’s directorates, provinces and municipalities.
This initiative aims to create a “comprehensive and sustainable national platform that aligns with the Ministry’s established plan,” Mawlawi said after a coordination meeting with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) new Resident Representative for Lebanon Melanie Hauenstein, the governors of South Lebanon and Nabatieh Mansour Zou’bi and Huda al-Turk, respectively, district administrators and Ministry staff.
Discussions revolved around the support framework provided by the UNDP to all provinces and how to sustain it.
