The Ministry of Finance announced in a press release issued on the evening of Tuesday, Ocotber 31, that, contrary to what is being reported on certain social networks, military salaries and retirees’ pensions have been available for withdrawal at banks since October 31.
Also, the release added, the remuneration of other public administration employees will be accessible for withdrawal from private banks starting on Wednesday, November 1, as the Banque du Liban has completed its operations, following the transfer of the necessary funds from the Treasury Department to the Ministry of Finance.
