The Art Stay concept, initiated by BEYxART, an art curator, continues its mission to make art accessible to everyone. The next exhibition of this concept will be held at Beit Tamanna guesthouse, located in Gemmayzeh, starting November 25, 2023. We had the opportunity to meet Corinne Nader, a team member at Beit Tamanna, as well as Loulou and Nicole Berjon Bouldoukian, two artists involved in Art Stay.

BEYxART, a curator and organizer of cultural projects, develops Art Stay in collaboration with Lebanese and regional artists. This concept is not merely an exhibition, but a celebration of Lebanese culture in frequented places like hotels and guesthouses. It incorporates a blend of sculptures, photographs and paintings.

Historically, these places have played a key role in preserving Lebanese architectural heritage, rehabilitating old houses to welcome tourists and the Lebanese diaspora. Starting in the south of Lebanon, Art Stay weaves its narrative across the country, organizing exhibitions in these emblematic sites of rich Lebanese heritage, thereby making art accessible and understandable to all.

Loulou Bouldoukian , an artist participating in Art Stay, is particularly interested in the history of Lebanese architecture. She has conducted extensive research on this topic and has sketched every location she visited, especially in the streets of Beirut and Tripoli, her hometown.

Art Stay will expand from the south to the north of Lebanon, with exhibitions planned in Tripoli in the spring. Loulou addresses personal themes such as travel and exile, finding it natural to exhibit her works in places frequented by the Lebanese diaspora.

Beit Tamanna, a new venue participating in Art Stay, opens its doors on November 25. Located in the vibrant Gemmayzeh district, this dream house, designed by Lebanese artists, architects and designers, is a testament to creativity. Corrine Nader, from Beit Tamanna, emphasizes the importance of hosting this exhibition in an already artistic guesthouse.

The exhibition at Beit Tamanna will feature works selected by Nicole Bourjon Bouldoukian and Lara Agopian. Nicole, with 25 years of experience as a sculptor and painter, has recently created artistic wallpapers for Inaltera, a French company. Lara Agopian, on the other hand, will exhibit her paintings inspired by song lyrics and cinema.

This exhibition will not only contribute to making art accessible but also support the dreams of sick children, as all revenues from Beit Tamanna are donated to the Tamanna association. To inaugurate the exhibition, a brunch was organized, with support from local partners and an opportunity for visitors to make donations.
