After a tour in Canada and a performance in Byblos this summer, Aleph is embarking on an exceptional European tour from October 9 to 18, visiting Madrid, Amsterdam, Geneva, and Paris. Through this musical journey, he aims to share the beauty and resilience of his homeland.

A pianist, composer, arranger, conductor, and artistic director of 8e Art Entertainment (the premier provider of musical shows in the MENA region), Aleph is the professional pseudonym of Fady Abi Saab. Often referred to as the “Piano of the Orient,” he travels the world with his “From Lebanon to the World” tour, keen on sharing Lebanon’s vibrant musical legacy while infusing it with global influences.

Fans can catch him live on October 9 at Madrid’s Teatro Lara, October 13 at Paris’ Salle Gaveau, October 14 at Amsterdam’s Meervaart, and on October 18 at Geneva’s Théâtre de Léman. As always, he will be accompanied by his orchestra. For him, music is first and foremost a medium for expression and connection. Snippets of the musical journey he’s curating with his orchestra can be viewed on his social media: @alephabisaad.

Promoting MENA’s Culture

The tour, orchestrated by MIR’A, an art center born in the French capital with the objective of championing artists and revealing the true musical identity of the MENA region, aligns with the center’s mission to use the arts to advocate for the authentic heritage and culture of specific regions.

Following a successful 2023 program, MIR’A presents Aleph’s musical journey to highlight the profound beauty and resilience of the Cedar Country at the year’s end. “From Lebanon to the World” serves as a platform and an opportunity to introduce a distinctive facet of Lebanon globally, disseminated through the universal medium of music.

Aleph’s intent to communicate this Eastern culture is also evident in his diverse choice of instruments and sounds influenced by various global musical traditions, defining his unique style.

A Versatile Artist with a Distinctive Style

His music, indicative of his distinct musical identity, blends elements of tango, flamenco, gypsy jazz, legends of oriental music, and 1960s Cuban music, endowing it with a unique, hybrid, and authentic feel. As a pianist, Aleph is widely acknowledged for his adept fingerwork, rhythmic play, ease of improvisation, and adaptability.
