On June 1st, at the Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan’s royal family gathered around Prince Hussein and his fiancée Rajwa Al-Saif to celebrate their wedding. The majestic young bride, a Saudi architect, created quite a stir with her luxurious wedding dress. The Lebanese designer Elie Saab designed the wedding dress.

On Thursday, June 1st, Jordan’s royal family gathered around Prince Hussein and his fiancée Rajwa Al-Saif to celebrate their wedding. The theme of the wedding was “combining Hashemite tradition and modernity,” and the bride lived up to it perfectly.

Jordan’s new princess did not disappoint royal observers with flat shoes, an Elie Saab gown, a diamond tiara, and a train adorned with Arabic-inspired floral embroidery befitting her new position.

A wedding between a prince and a princess worthy of a fairy tale is quite an event in the Arab world, where conservative monarchies rarely share the details of their private lives.

All eyes were on the Zahran Palace in Amman, where 28-year-old Prince Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Al-Saif, an architect by profession, said, “I do” after almost a year of courtship. The royal union occurred in the presence of the bride and groom’s families and prestigious guests such as Prince William, Kate Middleton, and King Philippe of Belgium. Although all the guests were dressed in their finest, the new Jordanian princess caught everyone’s eye.

The elegant Rajwa Al-Saif appeared in a long-sleeved white sheath dress with a magnificent train designed by Elie Saab. Worn close to the body, the dress featured long sleeves, no cleavage, and no exposed legs, which was part of the dress code for the event.

While the bride delighted guests in her perfect Elie Saab gown, Kate Middleton also caused a sensation with a magnificent creation by the same designer from the brand’s autumn/winter 2017 couture collection.
