Riyadi took on African champions Petro de Luanda on Saturday morning in their second game of the Intercontinental Cup. The match ended in an 80-75 victory for the Lebanese team.

After suffering a heavy defeat in the first game, Riyadi bounced back for the second. Thanks to this victory, Riyadi’s medal hopes are still alive.

Led by Hayk Gyokchyan and Many Harris, the yellow team found the solution after trailing for most of the game, with some hesitation in the final quarter.

The first half ended with Luanda holding a narrow 35-34 lead, but the third quarter proved to be the turning point for Riyadi, who regained the upper hand.

The game was also marked by the absence of Riyadi’s star player, Wael Arakji, who was only able to play six minutes.

Against this backdrop, Riyadi will play Tasmania JackJumpers for the bronze medal in the Intercontinental Cup at 11:00 AM on Sunday. Victory would be a historic achievement for the Lebanese team.
