Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Friday that he was informed by Hezbollah officials that they will have a harsher response against Israel if it resumes its attacks against Gaza following the seven-day truce that expired Friday.

“During my recent visit to Beirut, I heard from resistance leaders that the response will be harsher if the aggression resumes, and they will make the enemy regret it,” Abdollahian has reportedly told his Omani counterpart, Badr al-Busaidi, in a telephone conversation, according to Markazia news agency,

The Iranian minister also lashed out at Israel for resuming “its war crimes against the residents of Gaza,” which he said “is further evidence of its lack of interest in the demands of the international community and public opinion.”

Cashes had already resumed on Friday between Hezbollah and Israel in southern Lebanon, the day the truce between Israel and Hamas, under which 110 Israeli and foreign hostages and 240 Palestinian prisoners were released, expired.

Abdollahian paid a two-day visit to Lebanon on the eve of the truce in Gaza which went into effect on November 24.
