House Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed in Ain el-Tineh, on Monday, the newly appointed French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, before receiving the newly appointed Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Thani Al Thani.

During these protocol visits, discussions focused on the current situation in the country, the economic and financial crisis and the presidential deadlock.

Qatar and France are both members of the international group dealing with the presidential crisis in Lebanon, along with the United States, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
