On the fifth day of the Israel-Hamas conflict, tensions persist, with the death toll reaching 1,200 Israelis and 1,055 Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank as the Gaza Health Ministry reveals that 60% of the wounded are children and the elderly.

In Israel, alarms persist as the Israel-Palestine conflict escalates on its fifth day. The Gaza Strip faces relentless Israeli airstrikes, with the Israel Defense Forces stating they are dropping thousands of bombs day and night.

In a concerning development, Israeli officials have reported that artillery fire was launched at Israel from Syria on Wednesday.

According to the latest reports from Agence France-Presse, 1,200 Israelis have lost their lives since the conflict began on Saturday, and an additional 2,806 have been wounded. More than 150 individuals are still being held hostage by Hamas.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reports that 1,055 Palestinian lives have been lost since the inception of this conflict, with 5,185 individuals sustaining injuries. The Gaza Health Ministry reiterates that 60% of the wounded are children and the elderly.

The violence has also taken a toll on humanitarian workers, with nine UNRWA employees and four Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics announced dead on Wednesday.

Several countries, including Argentina, Germany, Brazil, and Canada, are evacuating their citizens from Israel and the Palestinian territories in response to the escalating situation.

China is collaborating with Egypt to ease the Israel-Hamas conflict. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will visit Israel and Jordan from October 11 to 13 to strongly condemn terrorist attacks and express condolences to the victims.
