At the Lumpinee Stadium, young Lebanese Abdallah Ondash suffered an honorable defeat at the hands of Chokpreecha in Bangkok on Friday, in a three-round, three-minute Thai boxing bout with a $100,000 contract at stake.

Round One

The first round was rather intense, with both fighters returning blow for blow with low kicks from both sides. Chokpreecha waited until the half-minute mark before hitting Ondash with a low kick below the belt. The fight was interrupted for a few minutes before resuming. The first minute was totally to Chokpreecha’s advantage, thanks to his low kicks. This didn’t surprise the Lebanese, who swept his opponent aside before regaining control for a minute and a half with a series of punches and kicks. Ondash was now dominating his opponent. However, Chokpreecha didn’t let himself be taken by surprise, and the spectators were treated to a succession of hooks and punches from both sides. The first round ended 50/50, but the ONE Championship jurors gave Chokpreecha the edge.

Round Two

At the start of the second round, full of hope, Abdallah didn’t hesitate to sweep Chokpreecha with his first high kick, giving him his second taste of the ring. The Lebanese continued to throw punches at his opponent, giving him no respite. However, when Abdallah stepped back, the Thai threw in a monstrous left hook that sent the cedar fighter’s teeth tumbling. Solid on his feet, Abdallah stood his ground and moved back into position, hoping to surprise his opponent. But the Thai landed several blows to the head and body, keeping Ondash on top throughout the round—fortunately, Ondash isn’t easy to put down.

Round Three

The third round belonged to Abdallah. The young Lebanese athlete finally dominated, but not enough to surprise Chokpreecha. Sweep after sweep, punch after punch to the Thai’s temples, Abdallah tried everything to get his opponent down, narrowly failing with a knee strike to Chokpreecha’s face. As for the Thai, he proved to be very clever. Knowing he was ahead, Chokpreecha fought intelligently for the last three minutes, launching his attacks with remarkable precision at every opportunity. This enabled him to slow down the Lebanese’s offensive range and boost his points by a meteoric rise.

The Jury’s Decision

The PK Saenchai Muaythaigym star’s overall performance convinced the judges that he was the ultimate winner, and he took his ONE record to 3-0 and 103-20 overall with this majority decision victory. Abdallah is hoping for another fight to secure a new contract opportunity.

In the meantime, we can’t wait to see who his brother Ramadan Ondash, a 17-year-old martial arts prodigy, will be up against.
