The Philippine national team won the title of the Asian Women’s Under-18 Basketball Championship (Level “B”) after defeating its Lebanese counterpart (95-64) in the final match of the tournament, which was held on Sunday morning in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.
The results of the quarters were as follows: 20-17, 53-26, 80-46, 95-64. Thus, the Philippines qualified for the level “A” Asian countries after winning the level “B” title. Lebanon will have to content itself as the runner-up in the continental championship. Samoa finished third after beating Iran (64-59).
