The Believers Club won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal during its participation in the Cyprus International Table Tennis Championship held in the city of Nicosia. This record is an unprecedented achievement not only for the club but also for Lebanon as a whole.

Players from eight countries participated in the tournament, namely Greece, Romania, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Jordan, Lebanon, and the host country, Cyprus.

The Lebanese team managed to win the first place in the Intermediate category thanks to its player Roxanne al-Murr, while the runner-up was also a Believers member, the Russian-Lebanese, Dr. Valid Bou Hamze.

In the Advanced category, Ahmad Harb came in third. In the doubles category, the duo of Samer Dagher and Harb managed to take the first place. Believers Paula and Nicole Kaloustian also participated in the women’s section.

Deacon Jack Haddad, president of the club and the participating delegation, has addressed a special word of thanks to the administrative body of the club. He specifically cited the honorary members of the Believers Club, the sports expert Saba Makhlouf and Pastor Ghassan Moghabghab.

Haddad also mentioned the honorary president of the Lebanese Table Tennis Federation, Salim al-Haj Nicolas and everyone who contributed to supporting the team, which helped them achieve these honorable results and climb to the podium.
