The French Embassy in Lebanon and the French Institute of Lebanon, in collaboration with the Sports Academy School and under the auspices of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, are organizing for the third consecutive year an Olympic Day dedicated to schools within their network.
This event will take place on Saturday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the sports facilities of Antonine University, hosting 24 teams from the francophone schools CELF and LabelfrancEducation, from all regions of Lebanon. These teams will have the opportunity to participate in a day full of Olympic and Paralympic activities.

Scheduled just over two months before the Paris 2024 Games, this Terre de Jeux event will offer participants a variety of sports events: football, basketball, swimming, climbing, wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, archery, and athletics. Primary and middle school students, accompanied by their teachers, will thus have a taste of the Games. It will be a day dedicated to fostering camaraderie, exploration, friendship and fair play, which values are promoted by several Olympians, Paralympians, and high-level athletes who will be present to visit the 400 participants.

This Olympic Day is an opportunity for the French Embassy to reaffirm its commitment to the development of sports in Lebanon. By supporting young talents and encouraging school initiatives for new activities, it primarily contributes to strengthening Lebanon’s potential in the field of sports.
