Lebanon has concluded its run at the Youth Olympic Winter Games, taking place in Gangwon, South Korea, until February 1.

The final stage was the second-phase cross-country ski race, over a longer distance of 7.5 km, contested by skiers Syrelle Lozom, Karen Sukkar, and Marcelino Tawk. They managed to improve their performances compared to the first stage of the fast sprint over a short distance of 1.5km, which took place last Monday.

Tawk recorded an impressive time of 33:26.6 minutes, while Lozom scored 33:46.1 minutes and Sukkar 39:14.7 minutes.

The head of the Lebanese delegation, Raymond Sukkar, followed the Lebanese team closely during the matches and expressed his great satisfaction with the results achieved. He judged the performances to be more than satisfactory, highlighting in particular the anticipated performance of Marcelino Tawk, whose time improved during the second stage. He also praised the rapid progress of athletes Lozom and Sukkar, demonstrating a high level despite their absence of participation in overseas training camps prior to the tournament.
