Commenting on Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s speech, Yoav Gallant, Israel’s Defense Minister, threatened that “Hezbollah will pay an increasing price as time goes by.”

“Our goal is to ensure the safe return of Israel’s northern communities to their homes,” stated Gallant in a statement following Nasrallah’s speech, which addressed the conflict and Israel’s targeting of Hezbollah communication equipment.

He added that Israel “is entering a new phase of the war, one that presents both opportunities and risks,” affirming that Tel Aviv will carry on its operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah.

Nasrallah had given a televised address in response to Israeli attacks on the militant group’s communications network.

He promised “just punishment” for Israel after pagers and walkie-talkies exploded across Lebanon this week.
