Tensions remain high on the southern front as an Israeli raid targeted the Jebchit locality in the Nabatieh district early Tuesday afternoon, injuring three people. Ambulances were quickly dispatched to transport the wounded to nearby hospitals.

Preliminary reports indicate that Hezbollah intercepted the Israeli planes using air defense systems. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier twice over southern regions, causing a loud explosion that violently shook windows in Iqlim al-Kharrub, Damour and Beirut.

Earlier in the day, Wadi al-Assafir on the outskirts of Khiam was also bombed.

Last night, an Israeli drone struck the outskirts of Bayt Lif, killing one man and causing extensive damage to homes, farmland and infrastructure. Hezbollah later confirmed that the deceased was Hassan Hussein Malek, a group member from Bayt Lif. The group also reported that they have suffered “386 casualties since the Gaza war began on October 7, 2023.”

A senior Hezbollah source told Al Jazeera that any ground invasion of Lebanon would prompt them to enter the Galilee. The source emphasized that they take Israeli threats seriously and are prepared for them. They also mentioned that Hezbollah had urged emissaries to ask Israel to spare civilians, even if they did not trust Israel.

According to Al Jazeera, emissaries proposed that Hezbollah not respond to an imminent strike, which Hezbollah refused. The pro-Iranian group asserted they would retaliate to any Israeli aggression. The source warned that Hezbollah could bomb military installations in Haifa, the Golan Heights and Ramat David harshly if provoked. While The pro-Iranian group does not expect a ground invasion, it remains in a state of full readiness.

Israeli threats of a strike against Lebanon have been stirring concern since Saturday when 12 Syrian Druzes were killed in a strike on Israeli-annexed Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights. Israel blamed Hezbollah for the strike, which the group has denied.
