The Spanish police reported “having arrested four suspects, three in Spain and one in Germany, as part of an investigation they conducted into the sale of drone parts to Hezbollah, supported by Iran.”

In a statement released on Thursday, the Spanish police explained that the investigation, which began in Spain, allowed the police “to identify Spanish companies owned by citizens of Lebanese origin that were trading large quantities of parts and components for military drones capable of carrying explosives.”

This investigation, which was based notably on “the analysis of documents detailing the trade of aircraft components in Europe,” also indicates that “it is possible that Hezbollah has assembled several hundred, or even thousands of drones from these parts.”

According to the Spanish police, “the lightweight drones, difficult to detect and intercept, were loaded with explosives weighing up to several kilograms and sent to Israel.”

As further evidence, “the remains of Hezbollah drones found in Israel correspond to the type of components seized by the police in Spain and Germany,” the statement concluded.
