On Thursday, Russia advised its citizens against traveling to Lebanon until the situation in the south of the country calms down. Meanwhile, the United States also encouraged its citizens to reconsider any travel to Beirut, citing the complex security situation that could rapidly deteriorate.

On Wednesday, Germany and Holland urged their citizens to leave Lebanon, fearing a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah due to escalating tensions between the two rival protagonists.

Berlin also warned of an “increased risk of terrorist attacks” in the country, which could target Western foreigners or large hotels.

Canada, Kuwait, and North Macedonia have issued similar warnings, advising their citizens to leave the country as soon as possible.
