LAU Medical Center (LAUMC)-Rizk Hospital hosted a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Day event in the hospital garden to mark World MS Day on May 30.

The aim of the event, organized by the hospital’s neurology team, was to educate the public about MS, its symptoms and the latest treatments, while also addressing common misconceptions about the disease.

Interactive booths with information about MS were on display. Attendees also received brochures about the disease and played educational games simulating MS symptoms.

“We are committed to raising awareness about MS and providing support to those affected by this challenging disease,” declared Sami Rizk, CEO of LAUMC-Rizk Hospital.

The event also featured a heartfelt testimonial from a courageous MS patient: “I never thought that MS could allow me to experience more positive things than the negative. I’m not going to lie and say that I do not have bad days where I want to isolate myself—of course, I do—but I always make it a point to maintain a high spirit, enjoy life to the fullest, and not let the typical obstacles an MS patient faces stand in my way.”

The event concluded with a Q&A session with attendees.
