Tensions in South Lebanon increased on Thursday afternoon, as an Israeli drone hit a car on the road linking Qana to Ramadiya in the Tyre caza, resulting in two casualties.

Israeli artillery shelling also hit deeper, reaching the plain of Marjayoun, while warplanes fired four missiles at Mrouj al-Rayhan and Dhour Sujud.

At the same time, the outskirts of Chihine and Wadi Zebqine were targeted by Israeli artillery amid intense reconnaissance drone flights above Naqoura, Tayr Harfa, Alma al-Shaab and Chihine, reaching the coastal area of Tyre.

Phosphorus shelling also hit the Maslakh region in Khiam, starting a fire.

Earlier, Israeli warplanes had attacked Aita al-Shaab and Odaisseh.

Overnight Wednesday-Thursday, villages around Baalbeck in North Beqaa were subject to a series of violent Israeli shelling in response to Hezbollah’s attacks on the Golan and Upper Galilee a few hours before.
