During his official visit to Doha on Monday, the Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, met the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense, as well as the Chief of Staff, who stressed the need to preserve the Lebanese military institution so that it can continue to fulfill its role in preserving security and stability in Lebanon.
According to information reported by sources close to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), the Qatari officials who met with General Joseph Aoun expressed their wish to renew their donation to the Lebanese army and declared their readiness to offer whatever the LAF needs to strengthen its capabilities, since it remains the only legal and legitimate institution capable of protecting Lebanon, especially in this delicate context.
