Early on Saturday morning, the Israeli Army announced that it had “struck a large military complex belonging to Hezbollah, housing installations, and a military post in the Rihan region” in southern Lebanon.

Exchanges of fire continued throughout the night between the pro-Iranian group and the Israeli Army in southern Lebanon against a backdrop of fears of a widening conflict due to a potential Iranian attack on Israel.

Shortly after midnight, Hezbollah fired “dozens of rockets” at Israeli positions in response, it claimed, to Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon. The Israeli Army reported that “around 40 shots were detected coming from Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted.”

“No injuries were reported,” the Army added, pointing out that it had previously intercepted two “Hezbollah explosive drones.”
