Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides will head a ministerial delegation on a visit to Lebanon on Monday, amid growing tensions in diplomatic relations between the two countries over illegal migration from Lebanese shores.

Christodoulides will hold talks with Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri.

In addition to tackling Lebanese-Cypriot bilateral affairs, Christodoulides will mainly address the issue of illegal migration, mostly by displaced Syrians who try to reach Cyprus via Lebanon.
