The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), part of the US Treasury, announced on Tuesday that it had imposed sanctions against three entities and one individual in Lebanon and Turkey, accused of “providing significant financial support” to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Two new Lebanese companies are under sanctions: Yara S.A.L. Offshore Company, based on Bechara el-Khoury Street in Beirut, and Hydro Company for Drilling Equipment Rental, whose address was not specified.

The former is accused of financing Hezbollah, while the latter is accused of financing the IRGC.
