Following Hezbollah’s attack yesterday on the Israeli Miron military base, Israeli media confirmed on Sunday that the attack caused “significant damage.”

Hezbollah launched 62 rockets on Saturday as a response to the killing of Hamas’s deputy leader, Saleh al-Arouri.

On Sunday, Hezbollah claimed, in a new statement, responsibility for targeting an Israeli soldier assembly in Manara, the radar site in the Shebaa Farms and positions in Malkiya, Mleeta, Rweisat al-Aasi, the Shomera barracks, Marj, Metat, the Zraiyit barracks and the Yar’a barracks. Their attacks caused significant damage and confirmed casualties.

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi warned Hezbollah to halt any further escalation, stating, “We inflicted significant losses on Hezbollah, and we will fight vigorously if a war erupts.”

This follows this morning’s Israeli War Council meeting in which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned, “I suggest that Hezbollah learn what Hamas has already learned in recent months.”

In the afternoon, the Israeli army targeted Khiam with artillery and phosphorus shells, hitting the town center and outskirts. Retaliatory shelling with phosphorus bombs occurred in Haneen, al-Jibin, Naqoura’s eastern outskirts and Kfar Kila.

Following Hezbollah’s afternoon attacks, the Israeli army escalated their aggression, targeting Mleeta, al-Qleila and several towns in the West, including Jabal al-Labbouneh and Jabal al-Alam.

During the evening, Israeli warplanes simulated raids at low altitudes over southern villages in Tyre, Bint Jbeil, Marjayoun and Nabatiyeh, causing realistic panic among residents.
