Hezbollah suffered a painful blow shortly before midnight Wednesday when an Israeli raid targeting a house in Beit Yahoun in southern Lebanon killed six party members including the son and nephew of two Hezbollah MPs.

Abbas Raad, the son of MP Mohamad Raad, head of Hezbollah’s parliamentary bloc, and Mohamad Cherri, the nephew of MP Amin Cherri, were killed along with four other party members, including Siraj Chihaymi, the commander of Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Unit’.

Two other victims were identified as Abou Hossein Thaer and Malak Houla.

The Israeli army announced targeting two military groups and infrastructure affiliated with Hezbollah.

The raid was preceded by heavy Israeli bombardments despite the temporary truce agreement in Gaza and the exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hamas.

A series of Israeli airstrikes were recorded on the outskirts of the towns of Zibqin, Beit Yahoun, Yater, Beit Lif, and Aita al-Shaab.

Additionally, a drone carried out an attack on the outskirts of the town of Marwahin with three missiles according to “Al-Nahar.”

Supporters of Hezbollah’s party mourned Mohammed Raad’s son codenamed “Siraj”, and party activists circulated his pictures, indicating that the family had been notified of his death.

He was swiftly mourned by the party’s electronic army, and by Jawad Nasrallah, the son of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
