Iran’s foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is set to travel to Lebanon to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday, October 12, citing Iran’s ambassador in Lebanon.

Iranian Ambassador to Beirut, Mojtaba Amaani, had announced earlier on the X platform that “in light of developments in Palestine and the crimes committed against Gaza and their dangerous repercussions, Hussein Amir Abdollahian is embarking on a regional tour today (Thursday), which will include a visit to Lebanon.”

This tour will include, besides Lebanon, Iraq and Syria, where Tehran exercises a dominant influence.
