Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Joumblatt received on Thursday the new French Ambassador, Hervé Magro, in Clemenceau in the presence of MP Wael Abu Faour.
The meeting focused on the current situation in Lebanon and the region.
Earlier, Grand Mufti Abdul Latif Derian welcomed Ambassador Magro at Dar Al Fatwa. During the meeting, they exchanged opinions and perspectives on Lebanese affairs.
Mufti Derian praised the French efforts, together with Arab countries, to assist Lebanon in finding appropriate solutions, especially regarding the presidential election.
