The Sovereignist Front held an exceptional press conference on Thursday at the National Liberal Party’s headquarters in Sodeco following the incidents that took place Wednesday night in Kahaleh.
In a statement, the members called for “the withdrawal of Hezbollah’s weapons: the crisis in Lebanon is neither sectarian nor religious, but a weapons crisis in the hands of a group working in service of Iran.” The statement also emphasized that “there are no solutions outside the framework of the State and its institutions.”
They also added that “the people of Kahaleh have the right to uncover the identity of Fadi Bejjani’s killer, and to have the criminal who shot a peaceful young man in cold blood handed over to authorities.” They also insisted on uncovering the fate of the gunmen who fled after the crime was committed and finding out where the ammunition and weapons were stored.
