The Ministry of Finance confirmed in a statement on Monday that it had transferred to Lebanon’s Central Bank (BDL) the differences in civil servants’ salaries (the retroactive effect) for last February, in line with the salary increases approved by the government last month.
Those concerned will be able to withdraw the amounts from their banks as of Wednesday, April 17, according to the statement.
As a reminder, on February 28, the Council of Ministers approved an increase in civil servants’ salaries with retroactive effect going back to December 1, 2023. Differences for December and January had been disbursed on March 20.
