Lebanese players Hady Habib and Benjamin Hassan were eliminated from the men’s doubles tournament at the Olympics after losing 7-6, 6-2 to Australians Matthew Ebden and John Peers.

Despite a strong performance from the Lebanese team, who achieved 75% on their first serves, they were overpowered by the Australians’ service game, with 32 service winners compared to 19 from Lebanon. The Australians also excelled on their first serves, winning 36 points to Lebanon’s 30.

Lebanon struggled with break point conversions, with the Australians converting 33% of their opportunities while the Lebanese failed to convert theirs. Following this defeat, the Lebanese duo is out of the tournament.

Benjamin Hassan will have one last chance to continue his Olympic dream as he faces Argentina’s Sebastián Báez in singles today.
