Early on Sunday afternoon, the Israeli warplanes attacked Hezbollah military targets in the areas of Labbouneh, Majdal Zoun and Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, according to Israeli media. It reported that secondary explosions occurred in several bombed buildings, indicating the presence of weapons. Missiles fell near Al-Manara settlement in the Galilee panhandle on the border with Lebanon.

Additionally, Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over villages in the Tyre district, as reconnaissance aircraft also intensified their flights. Artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the town of Naqoura and Mount Labbouneh. Hammams Hill in Serda was subjected to counter-artillery shelling.

The schools, institutes and private and public vocational schools will close as a result of the escalation on the southern front and of the field military developments in the border areas, and at times in regions farther from the borders. Their aim is to avoid endangering the safety of students, teachers and residents.

Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi announced on Sunday the closure of schools, secondary schools, institutes and private and public vocational schools located in the southern border region.

The decision to reopen or close these institutions in the southern provinces of the South and Nabatyeh has been left to the directors of these institutions, based on the security and military situations in these areas, ensuring the safety of students, teachers, and residents. This will be done in coordination with educational districts and the general directorates of vocational and technical education.

The Lebanese southern towns woke up on Sunday morning to intermittent artillery bombardment originating from Israeli positions. The Israeli army targeted the outskirts of the towns of Aytaroun and Yaroun. Three shells fell on Wadi Al-Jamal, 3 others on the hill of Rwaissa and 2 on the outskirts of Hula from the direction of Al-Abbad.

Yesterday evening, the Israeli army escalated its aggressions on the southern villages in the western and central sectors. Hostile warplanes raided the outskirts of the towns of Al-Maaliyah and Al-Qulaylah. Their heavy artillery targeted the outskirts of several towns in the western sector, Mount Labbouneh and Mount Al-Alam.
