In a renewed escalation, Israeli artillery fired shells on the outskirts of the town of Shebaa this Sunday morning. The highlands of Helta and Kfarchouba in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon have been hit, and illuminating bombs were dropped over olive groves and forests in the area, which, along with phosphorus bombs, have burned more than 4.6 million square meters since the start of the conflict according to an-Nahar.

Moreover, the National News Agency (NNA) have reported that Israeli reconnaissance aircraft have been flying since the early hours of dawn. Several southern areas were subjected to airstrikes by Israeli warplanes, drones and artillery shelling until late Saturday night. The attacks targeted the outskirts of border towns from Naqoura to the surroundings of the town of Aita al-Shaab.

Additionally, Israeli artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the towns of Shihine and Um et Tout in the western sector of the South. Israeli media also reported the sound of alarm sirens in the Upper Galilee and the western region.
