The Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), Mohammad Karaki, asked the relevant financial services on Friday to transfer LBP 60 billion to hospitals to pay for the treatment of dialysis patients. This brings the total amount paid since the beginning of the year to LBP 581 billion.
This periodic procedure, specially carried out for dialysis patients to enable them to benefit from full coverage (100%), will also apply to hospitalization related to surgical interventions.
Karaki also called on the heads of regional and local offices to work as quickly as possible to finalize the health insurance formalities for policyholders.
