The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that more than 110,000 people have been displaced from southern Lebanon since October due to the ongoing exchange of fire and mounting violence between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.

In its latest update released on Friday evening, the office explained that 35 percent of the displaced are children.

It added that estimates indicate that around 150,000 people remain in the border areas of southern Lebanon.
