Israeli bombardments intensified in southern Lebanon on Monday.

Around midday, an Israeli raid targeted the Aita al-Shaab area and a shell fell just a few meters from the place where the funeral of Hassan Maan Srour, a Hezbollah fighter killed on Sunday, was taking place. The ceremony continued despite the strike.

The strikes targeted the regions of Aita al-Shaab, Jebine, Dhayra, Naqoura, Labbouneh and Tabassine. Two shells fell on Tallet el-Moutran in Hamames.

Reconnaissance aircraft overflew the areas above the western and central sectors and bombed Aytaroun, Mays al-Jabal, Hula and Wadi al-Jamal.

Israeli media reported rocket fire on the Upper Galilee, where a drone was shot down over the town of Safad. They also reported that residents of settlements bordering Lebanon were asked to stay in “safe places.”

In a statement, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on the Israeli military position at “Hamra.”

In the morning, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over villages in the western and central sectors, as far as the Litani River, while artillery fire targeted the outskirts of the town of Aytaroun.

The Israeli army launched rocket salvos in the Labbouneh mountains and targeted homes in the town of Jebbine.

The regions of Roueissat, Alma al-Shaab, Dhayra and Blida were also bombarded, as well as Naqoura, where sirens sounded in the UNIFIL headquarters.

On the Israeli side, four missiles fell in the Western Galilee, and the Israeli army reported that sirens sounded in the Yaara settlement.

Hezbollah claimed to have targeted several Israeli sites, shelling the Raheb positions, the settlement of Even Menachem, the Avivim barracks and a group of vehicles near Hounin “with appropriate weapons, causing direct casualties,” according to the statement it issued.

Later, the Israeli army declared that one of its fighter jets had bombed targets representing Hezbollah infrastructure. In addition, another plane attacked a cell attempting to launch an anti-tank missile.

In another development, the Israeli media reported a cyberattack, carried out by Iran and Hezbollah, against the Zviv hospital in Safad, resulting in a leak of sensitive information.
