Amos Hochstein, the US Special Envoy for International Energy Affairs, arrived on Tuesday July 11, in Israel amidst growing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. The escalating situation revolves around the tents that Hezbollah had erected on the Israeli side of the Blue Line.

Amos Hochstein, US Special Envoy for International Energy Affairs, arrived in Israel on Tuesday July 11 amid escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel regarding the tents that Hezbollah had set up on the Israeli side of the Blue Line.

According to Israeli media, Hochstein is set to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with the head of Israel’s National Security Council Tzachi Hanegbi. During the visit, he is also expected to provide updates on efforts to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia.

Israeli video gamers had arrived in Riyadh over the weekend to participate in the world championship in the FIFA electronic game. The three-member team flew to Israel via the U.A.E. using their Israeli passports, however during the event the will not display their nationalities in public except during the tournament and in-game. The players will also be guarded by local authorities and private security.
