The Lebanese Olympic Committee announced the names of the delegation that will participate in the Summer Olympic Games (Paris 2024), which will be held from July 26 to August 11.

The delegation comprises 27 members, as follows:

François Saadé: President of the delegation, member of the Executive Committee and Treasurer

Samar Younes: Delegation administrator

Judo: Abdo Ayoub (official in charge), François Junior Saadé (coach) and Caramnob Sagaipov (athlete) in the 90 kg category.

Shooting: Nahi Bassil (official in charge), Daniel Ghanime (coach), Gracia Makhlouf (psychotherapist) and Ray Bassil (athlete) in the trap competition.

Taekwondo: Habib Zarifeh (official supervisor), David Sicot (coach) and Laetitia Aoun (athlete) in the 57 kg category.

Swimming: Fred Abi Raad (official manager), François Gattas (coach), swimmers Lynn El Hajj (100 m breaststroke) and Simon Doueihy (100 m freestyle).

Fencing: Imad Nahas (official in charge), Tanssian Angorian (coach) and Philippe Wakim (athlete) in the foil competition.

Table tennis: George Kopali (official in charge), Wissam Cherri (coach) and Mariana Sahakian (athlete).

Tennis: Fadi Youssef and Johnny Abdallah (coaches) and players Benjamin Hassan and Hady Habib.

Athletics: Mark Anthony Ibrahim.

On the eve of the Games’ opening, the President of the Olympic Committee, Dr. Pierre Jalkh, addressed the delegation, expressing his hopes for a commendable Lebanese presence at this world event in all areas and aspects. He stressed the importance of presenting a civilized image of Lebanon, the nation and its people.

He urged the athletes to do their best to achieve ambitious results, emphasizing the honor of representing the nation, especially during these difficult times. He affirmed that nothing is impossible for those with strong willpower.
