Sagesse took third place in the Lebanese Basketball Championship by beating Beirut Club (83-75) on Friday in Jounieh.

After leading an admirable season in the Lebanese Basketball Championship D1-Men, Sagesse was in a position to achieve a remarkable feat in the Final Four.

However, the club was defeated by Riyadi in the semifinals (3-0 in the best-of-five series). Still, they managed to save their season on Friday night by winning the game against Beirut Club (83-75) on the field of the Fouad Chehab Stadium, thus coming in third place in the championship.

Sagesse appeared determined from the very beginning of the game. Asserting dominance over their opponents from the start, they led the score almost the entire game, being caught up only in the second quarter. But after the break, they quickly recovered, outscoring Beirut Club again in the third quarter before going on to win the game (Q1 – 30 to 19 points; Q2 – 45 to 45 points; Q3 – 71 to 63 points; Q4 – 83 to 75 points).
