Israel carried out a drone strike on a vehicle traveling on the Beirut-Damascus highway, near the Zabadani bridge. Four people were reported killed.

Israel also conducted artillery strikes near the town of Aitaroun in south Lebanon on Wednesday.

On Tuesday night, Israeli aircraft targeted two Hezbollah trucks about 10 km from Baalbek, on the Baalbek-Homs road close to the Syrian border on Tuesday night.

According to security sources “one of the vehicles, carrying military equipment was hit”. One source suggested that the equipment being transported was a disabled missile launching platform being moved for repairs.

The area experienced successive explosions, causing some families to temporarily evacuate their homes due to the danger.

A security perimeter was established around the target area to keep residents away.

AFP reported that a source close to Hezbollah confirmed the strike, attributing the explosions to “ammunition in the truck catching fire.”

The Israeli army had no immediate comment when contacted by AFP.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, one person was wounded in the strike.

In recent months, Israel has repeatedly targeted Hezbollah trucks near the Lebanese-Syrian border, where a significant portion of the group’s supplies transit.

Additionally, an Israeli soldier was injured after a drone from Lebanon exploded near Beit Hillel, as reported by the Israeli army on Tuesday evening.
