Amid soaring tensions following Iran’s unprecedented drone and missile attack on Israel, fire exchanges on southern Lebanon’s front went on Sunday night with an Israeli raid that targeted a house in the village of Siddiqin, in the Tyre region.

Nine people were wounded and taken to nearby hospitals in the night raid which totally flattened the house and caused extensive material damage to dozens of surrounding properties.

On Monday morning, Israel carried out two raids on the main road to Alma al-Dhayra, leading to its closure on both sides.

Shells also fell on the outskirts of Dhayra, Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab, while mock raids were carried out over villages in the Tyre district and the coastal area.

Israel also dropped flares on border villages adjacent to the Blue Line on Sunday night, while aircraft flew relentlessly over southern towns and villages.
