Former Minister and Head of Foreign Relations within the Lebanese Forces party Richard Kouyoumjian explained to “Political Pulse” that the Opposition MPs are still debating whether they will be attending Le Drian’s proposed work session in September, aimed at putting an end to the presidential deadlock.
Kouyoumjian also stressed the pressing need for a serious investigation into the Beirut blast, as the families of the victims are entitled to know the truth about this abominable crime.
He then commented on the Ain al-Hilweh clashes and indicated that it is crucial for the Lebanese Army to regain control of the situation in order to establish security and sovereignty.
