After a muted 2023 edition due to Hollywood strikes, the Toronto International Film Festival roared back to life this year with dazzling red carpet looks from the biggest stars.
Jennifer Lopez Smolders in Silver
Jennifer Lopez, 55, turned heads in a stunning metallic Tamara Ralph gown held together only by black ribbons, showcasing her famous physique. Fresh off filing for divorce from husband Ben Affleck, a producer on her new film Unstoppable, Lopez paired the daring dress with sky-high silver platform heels and loose, flowing hair.
“There was a discussion about whether I should or shouldn’t [wear it],” Lopez told People magazine. “I felt good.”
Demure Elegance Takes Center Stage
While the “very demure, very mindful” aesthetic dominates TikTok this summer, it also made a strong showing on the TIFF red carpet. Fashion It Girl Sydney Sweeney, star of Ron Howard’s Eden, wore a cream-colored dress with a matching capelet adorned with delicate fabric flowers and a slim bow at the waist.
