The Simple Pleasures collective art show, a celebration of the small yet impactful joys that enliven our daily lives, will be held at Rebirth Beirut in Gemmayze. This engaging event is poised to run from November 24 to December 2, opening daily from 2 PM to 7 PM, and the grand opening is set for Friday, November 24, from 5 PM to 9 PM.

Simple, small pleasures are powerful in restoring happiness and positivity. Defined as positive, brief experiences emerging in everyday settings, they energize us, enhance productivity and offer perspective and mood boosts, especially vital in Beirut’s current unstable climate. This year’s show is set to feature an eclectic mix of over 50 artworks from 14 artists representing the four seasons of Artists of Beirut. The show will include pieces by the Boutique Concept Artists and feature the Guest of the Season, Mona Trad Dabagi, along with a new series of sculptures by the late Gulene Torossian Der Boghossian. The diverse collection spans various artistic techniques, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, upcycling, collage, photography and digital art.

The event will also host artistic activities:

– An upcycling art workshop with artist Karin Hantes, themed around Christmas, on Tuesday, November 28, from 3 to 4 PM.

– A photography workshop focusing on celebration themes, presented by Nada Karam, on Thursday, November 30, from 3 to 4 PM.

In alignment with the mission of Artists of Beirut, a portion of the proceeds will support the restoration efforts of Beirut through the Rebirth Beirut NGO. Participating artists include Zeina Chehab, Maral Der Boghossian, Caline Farah, Karin Hantes, Nada Karam, Magda Malkoun, Lama Mansour, Liane Mathes Rabbath, Nevine Mattar, Yara Saade, Sarah Saba, Janine Weber-Elmeouchy, along with Boutique Concept Artists Ramona Mansour and Paulette Eid. The show will also feature works by guest artist Mona Trad Dabaji and the late Gulene Torossian Der Boghossian.

It focuses on promoting and developing the talents of Lebanese women artists and artisans while supporting the preservation and restoration of Beirut’s cultural heritage.
