The Lebanese delegation’s competitions continued at the nineteenth edition of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Wednesday’s program was devoted to the individual table tennis competition. Player Mariana Sahakian faced Pakistani player Haika Hassan and won the match with a comfortable score of 4-1, with sets of 11-5, 12-10, 11-7, 11-13 and 11-8. Thus, she qualified for the second round in which she will face on Thursday a South Korean player who ranked 12th in the world.

Meanwhile, Malak Khoury lost to Vietnamese Tai Nguyen (0-4).

The Olympic Committee President Dr. Pierre Jalakh continued to follow the delegation’s matches in various sports. In his meetings with the players, he stressed the importance of giving one’s best and demonstrating exemplary behavior in competitions to achieve the best results.

Here is the competition schedule for the Lebanese delegation on Thursday, September 28:

– Taekwondo: Ray Al-Rai (87 kg) and Wared Salman (73 kg).

– Swimming: Munzer Kabbara (200 m breaststroke).
