The spokesperson for the Cypriot government, Constantinos Petrides, affirmed that his country does not participate in military operations and is not involved in any conflict in the Middle East.

In response to accusations regarding the presence of foreign military forces and weapons on the island, Petrides indicated that the Cypriot authorities only provide humanitarian assistance.

He also stated that “the entire international community recognizes and welcomes the humanitarian role of our country.”

Petrides emphasized that Cyprus remains “part of the solution, not part of the problem, and this is recognized by the international community.”
