The Saydet el-Jabal Gathering convened its weekly session at its headquarters in Ashrafieh. In a statement, attendees revealed that the gathering “issued its fourth call of the year 2024.”

The gathering called on political forces to get Lebanon out of its economic crisis, which has reached every home in the country. In this context, the gathering supported the reading of economic experts, who are members of the meeting, and who linked the economic solution to the restoration of independence and the liberation of the national decision.

Additionally, the gathering underscored the importance of parliamentary adherence to Resolutions 1701, 1559 and 1680, calling upon MPs to uphold these mandates. They also urged MPs to advocate in global capitals, affirming Lebanon’s singular status as a legitimate negotiating entity.

The gathering also called on MPs to strive to reveal the content of the settlement that US envoy Amos Hochstein is discussing with Hezbollah, to emphasize that Lebanon should not be a victim of major regional understandings.
